The area is well known and very appreciated for the good restaurants, the ancient leather shops which originally appeared around the Basilica from the early XIII century and the bustling market of Sant’Ambrogio.

How to reach Us

From the Firenze Peretola airport

The easiest way to reach the b&b is by taxi, which you will find at the taxi stand in front of the airport’s exit.
The taxi ride takes 20/30 minutes, depending on traffic, and the flat rate from the airport to any destination in the city centre is 28€ plus an extra 1€ for each bag.

From the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station

Taxi, which you will find in front of the station’s exit (square side). The ride takes less than 10 minutes and normally costs about 15€.
Bus C2 (not very efficient) from Via Panzani. The closest bus stop to the b&b is the one in Via Ghibellina.
As an alternative, it’s a 25 minutes walk (not recommended if you carry big bags as the road is quite bumpy).

Parking

The property is located in a pedestrian area and has no private parking. We have an agreement with the nearby Garage Tintori located in Corso dei Tintori 35r (3 minutes walking distance), which has availability even without reservation for our guests. Once you reach the Garage, you will need to inform the staff that you are staying at Santa Croce 14 B&B to obtain the discounted rate (24H parking at Garage Tintori: 30€ small cars, 35€ medium-sized cars).

Due to the limited physical space for cars in the city center, your car will be moved by the garage staff to a secure deposit just outside the center and brought back to you when needed.

As an alternative, you can leave your vehicle in the Garage Verdi, located in Via Giovanni da Verrazzano 11, which needs a previous reservation (this is their phone number 055 244921). The entrance to the underground garage is not the easiest but doable.

All the garages are located inside the ZTL (traffic limited zone), once they register your vehicle, the fine will be automatically cancelled.
